MG Summer Camp Wrap Up

  • 18-1-2011

The 2011 Mens Summer Camp has officially concluded and we would like to thank all the Clubs, Coaches, Gymnasts and Chapersones for their hard work and support for the duration of the camp.

The 3 Day training camp, gave the boys an insight into the how other gymnasts train throughout the year and also invited the opporutnity to form long lasting friendships.

Our First Day of training was a bit tough for some of the boys and included 3 apparatus as well as the beginning of the profile test which was conducted throughout the camp.

The first night was our fun and games night where the kids sang to SingStar and danced the night away!

Our next morning was an early one with the boys up and about by 6:30am, for a 7:00 start. 2 hours later and the boys were ready for their wet 'n' wild afternoon.

After a long day of kayaking, slip and sliding and movie time the boys had time for a quick siesta before the beginning of training.

Our next 3 hour session comprised of the other 3 apparatus and 3 more of our profile tests.

Following our hard session, it was time for dinner. Nachos with Guacamole and Salad...YUM! All the boys gave it a try and for those who weren't so keen, sandwiches were the way to go.

MOVIE NIGHT was a hit with all the boys. With the likes of Toy Story 3 and Wall-E how could we go wrong?

After a hard two days of training, the boys were all asleep by 9pm......a slightly earlier night compared to the night before!

The next day went by in a flash!

Training from 8-10.30, a game and then it was time to go home after the farewell BBQ.

To Bernie, Kodee, Emile, Yusuf and Jason thank you for all your coaching expertise and to all the boys, thankyou for your continous effort!

See you at the 2012 Mens Summer Training Camp
