2002 Gymnasts of the Year

MAG Junior Gymnast of the Year

Joel Hardwick
Joel Hardwick started with Northern Beaches Gymnastics as a kindy kid when NBG was operating out of Narrabeen High's gymnasium. When Joel was 7 he returned to NBG starting in our recreational classes and immediately moving into our development stream.

Since commencing programmes in our junior squads, Joel has been on the improve every year.

The one thing that stood out with Joel to receive the Junior gymnast was his sheer determination. Often an uphill battle to even be at training, Joel shows true commitment and enthusiasm when he is at training.

Respect is something that is earned and respect is what his coaches have for him. He is a true champion and a thoroughly deserved recipient of this award.

Kate Bishop has been a member of Northern Beaches Gymnastics since 1994 and in that time has proven to be a dedicated young lady to the sport of gymnastics.

2002 has been the pinnacle of her career so far. Kate proved she was the best athlete at the NSW State championship’s in June by winning the state title.

A major factor for Kate receiving the Jnr Gymnast of the Year for the second consecutive year, is for her attitude to gymnastics, her training and in particular the respect she shows for her coaches and fellow athletes
